    What if another forum owner tried to start a war with you?

    Have you ever been in the situation where another forum owner tried to start a war with you? Maybe it was a friendly war, or a hostile war.

    That is happening all the time and it is a part of advertising & marketing. It is well known that some businesses are also using illegal methods to lower their competition. It's just what we must go through haha What if another forum owner tried to start a war with you?

    This was experienced by my husband in 2006. He joined a forum called PHF, a local forum for horse racing fans. He was in bad timing because there was an ongoing war between 2 factions. Yeah, the community was divided. When one faction left the forum to put up their own, my husband helped in picking up the pieces. Together with 5 other loyal members, they continued posting and in a month's time, the forum was buzzing with new members. But the other faction would be sending spies, those newbies who would later on be trolls. In short, the war was still on. What the admin and mods did was to block the trolls that kept on coming but eventually the other forum started and the trolls vanished. So I guess being decent and professional has its rewards.
