    Is it better to write for search or conversions?

    There are many reasons to write a blog post including:

    • search engine optimization (to get a page ranked highly in Google Search)
    • conversion (to sell a product or service or provide information related to the site niche)

    • to share knowledge

    For what purpose do you write or publish blog posts? And, which style of writing is better?

    I like to write to share knowledge. I try to incorporate all of them though into a post if I can.

    I agree that if you can incorporate all three then you should. But if you could not, then write for the person reading it.

    I would think that it would be beneficial to write for all of them. They have to be able to search for it but yet you want it to make sense for the reader as well.
