    How long does it take from the time you start your blog till you have a steady daily/weekly readership for your blog? In other words, how long does it take to get a blog off the ground?

    Assuming you already have friends on Facebook and forums, you could get readers to your blog right away. You will just need to network with the people you already know and let them have the link to your blog.

    Some bloggers report almost instant success with their blgos while others write in obscurity for years. It will all depend on how popular your niche is and how heavily you promote to the public to get readers.

    I think it really depends on how much you publicize it, and whether users find value in the content. When you have enough readership, it probably doesn't take that long. I think you have to further define what you mean by off the ground anyway, It means different things to different people.

    I would say that having a stable blog in terms of hits willdepend on the effort and your plans. You can make a kickoff with the support of your circle. Can you imagine your relatives and friends commenting on your blog? And if they are many then the more reactions you can get. Of course, you need them to spread and promote your blog. The question now is for how long would they lend support.
