Two or three column blogs

I prefer the two column blog as it gives me plenty of room for my article as well as some side bar content such as links and small button ads. Which style of blog theme or template do you prefer?

Great point idealinfos. Many do not realize that when they load the site down, it just is slower for us.

Three column gives less space for the article. However, you might be interested in placing two tower banners in the side columns as this could potentially earn more money.

What really matters to me is the need for people to visit my blog. I can use a two column and also a three column blog if I have the need for it.

I always try to go with three columns. This gives me a plenty of rooms for ads and other widgets. My middle column is reserved for articles, and on the right and left side bars I can place ad units as well as other widgets that fills the space. I don't like flashy banners as they distract the audience.

This made me realize that my blog is just one column. And although it has pictures interspersed in the article, I think it would be easier to read if the layout is 2 columns. Thanks for posting this topic. It gives me an idea on blogging appearance. That goes to show my ignorance when it comes to aesthetic aspects of web pages.
