I was checking our affiliate platform network's server reports last night and found something a bit disturbing. The average response time was about 3x time the number Google recommends. I drilled down to the reason being the API we use (i.e SEOClerks API).

Cyan color shows the time spent by my system's core to deliver each request i.e well under 100ms.
Green color shows the time it took for external trans, which in this case is requesting data from SEOClerks' API.
Now, you can clearly see that the core is pretty healthy given its only taking an average of 40ms to serve any request but when we see the total time it takes to respond to request it is whooping 750+ms (totally discouraged by Google). And the additional ~710ms delay is caused due to SEOClerks API.

You should reduce your server response time under 200ms. - Google

So, my question is. How can we reduce the response time ?

I'm curious to know if you got that dilemma sorted out yet. I read somewhere about a way to load the important static elements first (ie. for SEO purposes) while waiting for the feed to load, but now I can't find it. That would at least keep Google happier...

Thanks for your suggestion. We are already implementing an AJAX interface that will do exactly what you said.

Hi!

In my opinion create few hours cache, which help you to load fast result, only 1 time site slow but other 100's of time site will open instantly,

I new there is 100's of cache file will be generated but its worthed a try.
