As a freelancer, does it help to have more than one Paypal account?

I have one Paypal account now that serves all functions, including personal (such as sending/receiving money from friends and family) as well as business (receiving money from freelance clients). And, I'm worried my account could get banned or restricted in some way which would prevent me from cashing out at places. Can I get more than one Paypal account?

It depends but to avoid confusion it is best to maintain at least two.

Just check the terms and services of paypal to see if you can have more than one account.

I think that if you are allowed more than one then it would be helpful so you don't have to sort money.

I could see where it might help some but for me I only have one. I just keep track of where the money needs to go and when it needs to go.

I have heard about some people's Paypal account getting shut or restricted but usually only after deposit of very large unusual amount. Maybe that's a concern for you and in which case, you might consider a secondary account, so long as it's permitted.

PayPal banning/restricting accounts can be a problem but if your business is legit then you probably don't have too much to worry about.
You can buy stealth accounts, or get a close family member to create a spare account for you.

For me personally, I think that is one good form of payment, you should only create one account PayPal in one ip of the computer , my friends have created 2 accounts with 1 ip computer account, when one goes down, other consolidated accounts locked

Yes you can have multiple accounts.

You can also add multiple mail accounts and use them as your Paypal ID.

I don't see a necessity to have more than one paypal accounts. You can do everything from one paypal account, whether you are paying or receiving. However, at a time you may also need another paypal account. It is advisable to add more emails instead of creating a new paypal account.

Depends on paypal's policies. And I don't think they allow the creation of more than one account per individual. What will you accomplish by creating two paypal accounts and what ID would you use in creating those. Be careful, that may earn you a ban from paypal indefinitely.

I guess it is fine. You can actually make multiple accounts on PayPal. You can have your personal account, and the other one being a business account. I myself am trying to open another account on PayPal if all goes well.

You can have more than 1 Paypal account if you will have more than 1 credit card because the credit card is what Paypal use for validating your account. That means you cannot open a Paypal account without a credit card. Another thing is the use of the name, I am not sure if Paypal will allow a person to have 2 accounts with the same name. It can cause confusion not just to Paypal but also to the user.

Actually you can have two PayPal accounts, One Consumer Account and One Business Account. But they must have different emails and different financial information. Also you cannot link the same bank account or credit card / debit card twice, so be sure to use different ones. PayPal is the most trustworthy and dependable payment processor in my book. You'll never get banned unless you've committed something illegal or something against its guidelines or rules.
