I'm trying to diversify my services

I am looking to diversify my services and branch out into other niches; so that i'm not just relying on one type of service. Currently, almost all of my services revolve around writing. I want to branch out into Youtube comments, which I have done and enjoyed before. This would let me hit another set of customers for my services. Also, I have my writing published online so I earn at that too, not just selling freelance services. So I'm working on getting more of my articles published online for residual. But still this all revolves around writing, which is what I know. I can't think of anything not writing related I could specialize in. For awhile I had signature line sales off one of my forum accounts. But that forum is inactive now so I don't get sales from the signature line. I would love to get more sales like that as you do the work once and get paid for years after. Contemplating what other niches to try now that are not so overly saturated.

If writing is your strongest skill then focus on that but work outwards from where you are. For instance, you could also do voice translation from video or audio.

Just brainstorm and write down everything you can possibly think of to do on a sheet of paper real fast without thinking whether it's fits you or it's stupid or not - or even if you can do it. You might be surprised at what you come up with.

I have comtemplated the idea of voicing over, but I don't like how my voice sounds. Maybe you could see if you could do that.

Beverly this is a great idea. It will surely get you more work if you do diversify it.

Where are you currently publishing your articles? And, are you relying solely on SEOClerks sales? You could approach bloggers and ask about paid writing positions on their staff. This would be a good regular income you could depend on, in addition to your SEOClerks income.

Thank you! I

Hopefully, I can work a few of the new ideas on my list.

I'm a published author on sites like Hubpages and that pays, but I want to expand my article collection there so it becomes a full time income.

Have you tried outsourcing some of your work? You could charge more and then still earn, while someone else is doing all the work. This would give you more time for finding new business or at least for other things you want to do.

I'm just worried about quality control with outsourced work. If someone does work on my behalf and it's not up to my usual standard, then my reputation is on the line. I will just need to find better ways to maximize my work time and earn more residual income, maybe through the SEOClerks affiliate program.

Are you blogging now or could you start a blog about a popular topic?

There are so many good ways to promote a blog now, including blog communities and directories, Pinterest and Facebook groups.

You could very well earn money in that way.

Yes I also agree with this point. As writing is your strong passion, you should create self hosted blog on topic which you love. Relying on hubpages earning and writing for then is not the smart thing to do as you are not owner.

I lost a lot of my pages of writing when they shut down Squidoo. Only some of the pages were transferred over to Hubpages. Since then, I'm only publishing on my own blog. In this way, I am the content owner and I don't have to worry that someone else is going to delete my writing.

And, how much time are you putting into writing for your own website/blog or Hubpages? If you are not writing daily, then you won't have any income from those sites in a year or two. You have to devote time to that now.
