    The way that I try to get noticed is by posting around here on the SEOClerks forum, promoting my services on other sites that allow it and even through family. Family and friends are great ways to get the word out because they can spread the word to others and then your services are promoted to more and more people as time goes on. Using social networks to your advantage also helps tremendously.

    For most small businesses, especially those providing services, the most potent way to generate new business is by word of mouth. This is not something that can be bought. But you can certainly help to promote and encourage it, by networking with all the contacts you have in a given market, and by asking all your satisfied clients to recommend you to their friends and acquaintances. If necessary, offer some kind of reward for any contacts which lead to new business.

    Establish your online presence with an easily identifiable avatar that you use where ever you go. This idea worked for me when I first got into blog and forum posting online. Everyone recognizes my avatar now on other forums and my work quality is clearly available for anyone to see and then relates that to my services available on SEOClerks. This might not work if you are in SEO or other niche but it works for a writer as most of what I do is in the content creation niche. Once you are very well known you will get business from all over. In a way, my previous work on other forums is the best promotional tool possible as it's always associated with my current avatar on SEOClerks.

    Social media marketing is my most effective marketing method. First of all, social media has the active member base. Secondly, you can do free marketing on social media. Let me exemplify.
    facebook as two billion accounts. Just imagine the number of people you can reach through facebook

    My opinion is that for somebody who is just getting started and has limited monetary resources, they should try social media marketing. First, of course, they should create a following on social media and then start marketing. I say this because most social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. will allow you to create an account free. Plus the obvious point is … that's where the people are. Individuals and businesses are on social media. Who are you marketing to? People! Why do you think the businesses are on social media?

    You have to advertise yourself and there are many ways to do it. How about using your social media account to promote your brand? If you are creative enough then you can concoct an attractive spiel that can be interesting to those who will read your post. In marketing, it is important to make a follow up but you cannot just post in social media too often because that can be construed as spamming.
