A good friend of mine approached me recently to create a website for his site. I am experienced at making websites and have no problem doing the job. Though often I will use a premade template and just customize it if that's easier or cheaper to do. Now he is asking for a 'friends discount' and wants me to cut my regular price in half. It feels like he is putting me in an awkward situation for this. He knows that I need the money he's paying. So I can't really afford to discount. Also I feel obligated to do the work now that I have said that I would and to try to renegotiate half way through the job feels wrong.
