    What's the best time of year to publish a novel?

    Are there any good times of year to publish a Kindle novel, such as when people are more likely to be in the mood to buy?

    For seasonal related fiction and nonfiction, you will want to get your novel published at least two months ahead of time, so you can properly market to the right crowd and get your book featured on all the right groups and blogs. Publishing at the wrong time of year for seasonal themes will result in fewer buyers.

    You might not want to publish your ebook too close to the date when another author has published a similar ebook. This could cause your ebook to receive less attention so that you don't earn as many sales.

    If you check the sales record for any online or offline book stores, you will find that people are buying more books in November and December compared to other months. Since Christmas and New Year are around the corner and many people send gifts (books are considered to be good gifts), book sales pick up in November and December. Therefore, if you publish books in these months, you will be able to sell books.

    We have 2 friends who are book writers. Come the last quarter of the year, they will be printing more copies of their books to be ready for the demand. Over here, people generally have the money during that last 3 months of the year so they have the budget for other things that are not a necessity like books. If you are a book publisher I guess you have to know the trend when the demand for books will be rising.
