Should I buy Amazon Prime?

Just found out you can buy Amazon Prime on monthly subscription, which works out really well for me. You get access to millions of ebooks, movies and music. And, mostly I want the free 2 day shipping, as I'm always buying stuff from the Amazon site anyway, so it works out to get free shipping. If you have tried Amazon Prime and found it to be worthwhile, please let me know what you like about it?

I don't think the eBooks are part of Prime. You get unlimited eBooks with kindle unlimited that is an additional $10 or so a month. Both are worth it if you read a lot, watch movies, listen to music and love free two day shipping! We order most house hold products from Amazon now with two day shipping. Christmas and birthday present? Two day shipping. No going to a crowded store and waiting in lines.

Also check out the dash buttons and Amazon Echo. The Echo is pretty neat.

This past week, I've used Amazon twice to order cat related meds and cat care products and had to use paid 2 day shipping both times - so that's $20 right there - which would have paid for almost 2 months worth of Amazon Prime. And, so for me, Amazon Prime would be a really good option, just for free 2 day shipping, as I buy a lot online anyway all through out the year. And, for holiday shopping, it's really ideal. I don't like dealing with crowded stores. I like reading a lot and might check out the Kindle Unlimited option that you mentioned. It's not that much more and I can read those anytime, anywhere on a tablet.

Yeah, you might as well get it if you are already spending that much on shipping. It really is nice to not worry about it. I pay the yearly option which is $99 I think so you save a bit of money that way. You could, also, cancel Netflix which would cover the price of Prime and you would still have most of the same shows and movies (except those amazing Netflix originals, although Amazon has their own originals).

I used amazon prime when I had to buy a bunch of presents for Christmas, and I loved it Should I buy Amazon Prime?

The free 2 day shipping is amazing and since you can get it on pretty much anything you're looking for, it's a great feature Should I buy Amazon Prime?

I planned on re-activating my prime membership in October because that's when I tend to start my Christmas shopping. I don't always finish my shopping in 30 days though. But you said that we now can purchase prime by paying a monthly fee, so that changes a lot of things for me lol Should I buy Amazon Prime?

Can I pay for amazon prime just in October, November and December? Or do I have to sign something, like an agreement or contract, that says I'll stay signed up for 12 months? If I can just pay for the 3 months I'm buying presents I'll definitely sign back up lol Should I buy Amazon Prime?

I would say that Amazon prime is best for people that show online a lot. Like if you buy pretty much everything online and never leave your house. My mother in law does this because she absolutely hates shopping during the Christmas season. She does so much online shopping that her and the UPS guy know each other by name Should I buy Amazon Prime? In December I think she gets around 3 packages a day from UPS and that's not an exaggeration

So in the end I would say go for it if you buy stuff off of amazon regularly, but if you only buy something every 6 months it's probably not worth it Should I buy Amazon Prime?

Also, what's amazon echo?.

That's a really good question you asked about signing up just for a month or three months and if I'm reading it right, then that's possible. At least I hope so. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201118010

From what I can see, they are charging a little more per month than if you pay one lump sum annual fee for Amazon Prime. So maybe they are figuring that people would take that month to month option anyway, depending upon the season.

Just for shipping fees/shopping, it would be worth it.

I'm one of those people who shops online a lot, if only because I don't want to go to a store. It's not that i can't or won't shop in stores but time outside takes me away from the things I want to be doing more. And, several times, i lived without a car - yes it's very possible - and pretty much just had everything delivered including shelf stable food. You can pretty much find anything you want online these days. I have a car now or would just take a cab if not, but more often than not, I still don't go out for regular store shopping too often - especially during summer - as I can't tolerate the heat well - same for cold during winter. Basically, I like the indoors a lot

So yeah, online shopping and free 2 day shipping rocks! Should I buy Amazon Prime?

YES! Girl, go buy Amazon Prime and get an Amazon firestick! I love the firestick, it has the Netflix app already downloaded! Go read reviews, and see what else is on there. I have the firestick because my television is not a smart TV and I can not connect to the internet. I know you can try and use a computer to connect but I hate all those cords going places, and cords that are out in the open, and I'm sure you probably mind those as well. So either try it out if a friend has it, or go to Youtube and watch a video, it's great!

In the UK, Amazon Prime costs £5.99 a month and the 2-day shipping costs from £3.95-£7.99 depending on which type of item you buy. If you purchase 2 or more items a month and want to use the 2-day delivery, then you have already saved money so it is worth it. If you don’t buy at least 2 items every month, then it may not be worth it. However, it depends if you would use some of the other features; for example, you get Prime music for free and remember other music players like Spotify itself costs £9.99. However, I have looked at Prime music and can say that Spotify is 10 times better. At the end of the day it depends if you would use the features. The good thing is you can get the 30 day trial to test it out and you can cancel it at any time. If you are a student, you can also get it for free for 6 months.

I personally don't use Amazon prime because I don't buy from amazon very often and I don't need the other features either.

Thanks for your feedback on this. I'm already buying online a lot, but mostly from sites like Amazon as they have fast delivery. But, the Walmart delivery charge is pretty high with every order or they let you have free shipping if it's over a minimum amount. Still that's waiting from 4-7 days for most items, not really a good option if I need an item in an emergency (which is usually why I'd pay for two day shipping anyway). I use a lot of different services including Netflix/Hulu and Spotify and the cost adds up over time. I like all those services though and very much accustomed to using them. As much as I wanted the free 2 day shipping and access to other Prime services, not sure if i want to give up what I have for that.

For people who shop online a lot Amazon Prime is a godsend. The best feature is the free 2 day Shipping as it applies to most purchases, and there is even free sma day delivery on certain zip codes. A friend of mine has it and he was commenting that he loves the unlimited streaming of movies and the TV shows on the Prime Video, the Prime Music, and the option of being able to borrow books. If you love shopping, watching vidoes, and reading books, you should definitely go for it. And in my opinion the rate is affordable and reasonable.
