They do. Atleast I'm confident about facebook, as once I did contacted them for this purpose and they replied in positive way :)Hopefully, they will give you a chance to appeal the decision.

Now, if you try you might have to wait for long time to get a reply from them.Let me clarify one thing, I did had pleasant experience. It doesn't mean it will happen with everyone. Also, when you contact other sponsors don't you think the sponsorer would love to see if the site in which he/she is investing comes in good position in google? :D
