24 hours to get approved? Really. It took over two weeks for me to get approved for adsense. I have been using Adsesne since 7 years. I have noticed one interesting phenomena about adsense, that is how it has been developing. These days, it is a daunting task to get approved for adsense, Google has made criterias for approval very difficult.

For established blogs, it does not take very long to get approval for Adsense. If you are just starting out with a blog that is not located on Blogger.com, then you might have to wait longer.

I joined way back years ago when you didn't need approval. It came with signing up to blogspot and I just added the module to my brand new blog back then. It's much harder nowadays.

Really? I did not know that approval was not necessary to get an adsense account. I got my adsense account in 2010. I got my account after 15 days of applying. I had applied through Hubpages. I am using the same account for my websites. Over the years, Google has introduced many rules to get approved for adsense.

Now, there are all kinds of content requirements you must meet before being accepted into the Adsense program and they make it so tough to join so that only high quality sites can show the ads.

It's easier to get approval if you are applying through an article site, where they split the revenues. These sites usually require you to have up substantial content before applying, so you will always meet the quality requirements of Adsense.

Those days are long gone. If you want an Adsense account now, there are just too many hurdles to jump through and maybe better ways to earn money.
