Which ad colors attract your attention?

I'm trying to tweak my Adsense ad colors to get the most attractive colors possible so as to attract attention from my blog readers. I want colors that don't clash with my template but also catch attention easily. Please tell me what colors you like seeing on ads and which colors turn you off?

I have a yellow forum with tan ads and the colors are actually complementary. If you have a black themed background, you might try ad borders in crimson or red, or even neon green, something to contrast.

Bright colors really attract me. I would have to say that neutrals really turn me off.

I think that some of the main colors that grab my attention are bright colors such as pink, yellow, white (on a black forum/site) and sky blue. They just stick out to me and grab my attention away from the main site.

It's OK if the background of your ads are white, if it's contrasted against a darker background, so long as you have a nice border. That will help define the ads and make them look more presentable rather than a chunk of advertising stuck in the side bar column.

You don't want Adsense ads to attract attention, you blend them with your content.

You could add a border around the ads to make them stand out from everything else. Otherwise, the ads will blend in so much an get over looked.

Green and Blue are both professional and fit it. Other bright colors don't look as professional.

Google adsense says how you should not try to trick people into clicking on the ads by making them look like content. But, then they go on to say how you should blend them and even provide color palletes which help blend the ads with almost any template. This is kind of contradictory.

Just take a look at Google search engine and look how blended the ads look. Sometimes it's hard for me to tell the ads from the natural search engine listings because of how even they line up the ads with search results and that ultra-light shading they have over it. But oh!, I bet if we did it our site would get banned in a heartbeat!

Make sure that, selected color is much enough to catch a look of traffic. But not so awkward, that irritate public to surf your landing page.

It really depends on the kind of background you have on your website, something really bright and eye catching that does not look out of place I always find works well for any kind of advertisements.

You should make it blend in with your websites colors. Users are probably more likely to click it if they think it is part of the content and not just another annoying ad.

Yea you should make it blend with your website. when preparing an Ad, you can make use of a mixture of Black, Red and Blue. it all depends on your background, but make sure you don't over mix the colors so it wont look childish.

goodluck.

The colors that work for me, might not be attractive to you. For instance, I like greens but not everyone thinks that is a good color to use for a website or ad scheme. Just go with your own favorite colors and try to match with your site so they don't stand out so much.

Red, Yes the answer is Red.
Red ads attract me, I just give the advertisement a look then continue what I'm doing.
