Bing accuses Google of biased search engine (shopping) results

Recently, Bing published a video on the dangers of using Google's shopping for Christmas; accusing the internet giant of biased shopping results. Apparently, the merchants who pay the most appear near the top of the listings, with some merchants missing. And, that means you're not getting the full product picture for your shopping needs.

Have you heard about this? Does it affect your choice to use Google for shopping results to locate products you want to buy?

For argument's sake, is shopping results considered 'search' results? Or, is it more like a paid shopping directory? Though this practice could be perceived as deceptive.

I don’t know if I will believe the accusation because the internet is rife with accusations, allegations and complaints that have no substantial basis. As in the court of law, there is a principle of the probable cause which means the complaint can be forwarded to the court for trial with that probable cause otherwise it is treated as a rumor only. Anyway, I don’t think there is a way to prove that allegation of bias in the search list of shopping companies because the algorithm is a secret and cannot be exposed.

This could be true. They could not just accuse anything if they don't have proofs. May the truth come out of this situation.
