I made a mistake of clicking on one ad! Now it's everywhere!

So, I saw this really great ad for Next Issue on Adsense. The site lets you read full issues of magazines online and that's very useful as you can access over 100 magazines for a low monthly fee. And, I had previously seen a print ad in a magazine and really wanted to check it out. So I clicked on the ad. And, that was a week ago. I bookmarked the site, intending to go back later to check it out. No need really! Every site that I go to now that is running Adsense has a Next Issue ad. And, I know they are fully aware that I recently visited that site (and almost signed up for the service).

The sales pressure of constantly seeing that ad is intense. It's laughable sometimes and while I plan on signing up for the Next Issue service, I wonder if I will still see the ads even after I've become a customer. Now that will be annoying!

This is due to re marketing code that the adsense networks has picked up for your IP. You need to clear your system cookies or have to add an extension in Google Chrome that will block such advertisement from web-pages that you are looking in your system. Generally when we click on any paid network ads (Google Adwords) they will pick our IP as think us being their potential customer so keep following till we reach to their website again.

Try clearing your cache out. Sometimes, not always though, it helps from being tracked down by Google...lol

You know how I love Google... End sarcasm... Lol

And, I'll bet you ended up buying that service, right? That's just how it works. Repeated exposure to the same ad will make you want that item more than if you rarely saw it. That's why Google is so relentless about showing you the same ads.

We all use Google services like Youtube, Gmail and Search and yet we all complain. You can't get Google's services unless you agree to their practices. And, maybe Google could not deliver their type of service without those intrusive practices.

They did the same thing to me too this week when I visited a site for free forum hosting. Now on every site that I go to, I see that same free forum hosting site being advertised.
