Do you search for news on Google?

When searching on Google for a topic, you can choose 'News' (under the search box) for a listing of recent and relevant 'News' stories. Some of these news stories are from official news sites such as CNN while others are from reputable blogs and sites. Do you use Google search to find relevant news? If so, what type of news do you search? And, is the news results very relevant to your needs?

I've used this feature more than once to find the latest news on tech and SEO. Though the news is not very authoritative and usually found on blogs. But for some reason it shows up as official news.

I have used this a few times but I do not much care for it. I guess that it is just personal preference. It is not horrible but is not my favorite either.

I sometimes search for news on Google especially when I am following an interesting news item. Just this week, there was this news about a woman who withdrew money from an ATM of a particular bank and got 19 pieces of 100-peso bills with no face, meaning the bills were not genuine. I checked on Google the other day and I found the update that the Central Bank had admitted a faulty printing of 50 pieces of those erring 100-peso bills. All the while I thought it was fake news but it was clarified when I searched in Google.

Well now that Google OWNS YouTube and there are many news services on YT, I search YT for news. If the counts as searching Google, then yes I search Google for news.
