A huge page to crawl....

    ....Baidu is almost the only search engine used in China, so if something was written about me, that page might have backlink on a China website.

    But, I don't think Google would crawl anything over there, or maybe they just have guidelines in place to crawl certain types of official websites.

    Does Google crawl there?

    This is a nice discussion because I am curious with the Chinese search engine and social media. From what I remember, Weibo was the most popular social media in China but it seems Renren had overtaken it in terms of the number of users. When we were in Beijing a few years back, I was really surprised when I couldn’t access Google and Facebook even if the wifi of the hotel was fast. That’s when I learned that Google and Facebook are banned in China. Anyway, I don’t think Google will be minding Baidu since it has it own territory.
