I don't actually know, but I think if someone did know they'd keep it to themselves, or charge you money before they'd tell you how.

At one time, the links on the About Us page were do follow as many other pages on Facebook but not so anymore. If there are even one or two places for a do follow backlink on Facebook, I would be surprised.

You should try out the Notes section on Facebook. I don't know if that section is do follow but there are Facebook notes that appear on Google search. So there is a good chance these pages will get found if properly optimized for keywords and content rich.

You cannot build a dofollow backlink in Facebook. All links posted in Facebook are nofollow. Same with Twitter and Googleplus. But although they are nofollow, these networking sites are a great way to increase traffic and Google also gives credits to nofollow links.

I don't think that there is any way to get dofollow backlink from facebook and this is why getting links from facebook is not provide any help to SEO but these links certainly help in increasing traffic to any website.

The do-follow and no-follow backlink is giving me confusion although it seems that this discussion is giving me some clarity. The link that you post on Facebook is a no-follow that Google does not treat it as a backlink. Am I right on that assumption? So maybe on other sites that are no-follow URL are also like Facebook that when you leave your link it will not be recognized by Google simply because it is a no-follow URL?
