    If you were to create multiple pages, sub-domains, or domains with substantially duplicate content, you might be penalized by Panda algorithm which seeks to eliminate or devalue duplicate pages so they don't rank highly.

    Also, you have to maintain keyword density properly..... keyword density around 2% is good I would say...

    Always use fresh content to get maximum benefit.

    I fully agree with the unique contents because from what I understand with the search engines, they first check if the site is active before they include it in consideration of the search list. In other words, if your website has no fresh content then it can be bypassed and it will never appear in the search list, at least in the first 2 pages. The contents, however, should be unique and original that is not copied from anywhere. It also needs to be well written with no wrongly spelled words.
