    set the readers comment to moderation. it will help to checkmate those that are just posting irrelevant content that is unrelated to the original website content.

    There are many types of spam links you might have to deal with as a site owner, including internal spam and external spam links.

    Internal spam links can happen when someone leaves a link on your forum or blog comments that includes a link back to their own site. Without active moderation, your site will soon become infested with spam.

    External spam links are those which you might have obtained by commenting on various blog posts or which others may have made on your behalf (such as by hiring a backlinking service).

    Sometimes, these links can be seen as spam.

    Not all backlinks are spam though. However, typically a spam backlink to your site will be one that comes from a lower quality type site or what Google calls a 'bad neighborhood'. And, Google has it's own standards for determining this.

    To remove spam backlinks, you should contact the site owner where your link appears and ask for it's removal.

    Also, you should use the Google disavow tool on any pages linking to your site that are considered spammy or harmful.

    beverly thanks for this. hmmm,. i gotto watch my site now and where i place links to avoid too much spamming. that is why i prefer manual backlinking than spamming to thousands of sites just to create backlinks.

    it little bit hard to remove spammy links from your site i think you should hire some expert in seo to remove it and check your website

    the expert guys will surely charge very costly. to chekmate spams, jts set your comment section to moderation so that you can approve those good comments.

    What kind of answer is this? How can he/she remove something from the source code... The person who started this topic is asking how to get rid of BAD backlinks... I would say to use disavow links in the webmaster options! ;)

    If your site is a forum then I guess you will have a hard time in screening the links that are posted on the boards unless you have good moderators who are strict in monitoring the forum. This discussion is important to me because I am still gathering information for my learning of the backlinks.
