    From Facebook: "How well do you know..."

    Today, I was on Facebook for a few minutes and happen to glance at the right side bar column and noticed a question about one of my friends... "How well do you know..." And, they listed my friend's name and gave several options to describe our friendship from very close to casual. Apparently, Facebook is using this info to help customize friend status updates for relevance. And, it seems like a really good idea as you might only want to hear occasional updates from someone who is only a casual acquaintance as opposed to a very close friend or family member. Have you noticed this update on Facebook, too?

    They are probably going to use this in their ads, for advertisers. I'll now be able to target you and your close friends with the hope that you share similar interests. From Facebook: "How well do you know..."

    I did notice this as well and it seems that it will work pretty good. Or at least let us hope that it does.
