Maybe this is the reason why the so called “fake news” is getting prevalent. The death of one celebrity gets a lot of reactions even after days that it was posted and had a rebuttal already. The latest is not exactly fake news but real bad news that fortunately turned out to be fake. That inbound missile from North Korea to hit Hawaii had spread all over the island state in 5 minutes. The bad news was actually sent out by the government’s security office. After 38 minutes, it was declared a false alarm but people have already panicked and some have started to evacuate.

Well you can't really control news in social media because it's social media and is susceptible to add-ons, comments etcetera which could be converted into viral fake news in just minutes. So my suggestion is if you want real news then go to news sites because all you'll get in Facebook are one-sided unverified controversial news written and posted by someone you really don't want to know.
