Yes, I agree with you. I had read in one blog that the first step that a stalker takes is to send you a friend request. Some years back, I would be accepting friends blindly no matter who they are. But now I am discerning with friend requests. When there is no mutual friends, I delete the request. When there is a mutual friend, I ask the mutual friend is the sender of the friend request to me is an okay guy. At least I have a sort of filtering new friends. Don't publish your telephone number, home town or address anywhere on Facebook, not even private messages as there are bots which can scrape all that information.
