    Do short videos get more views?

    I think it might be useful to have several shorter videos, such as twenty seconds or less containing useful information (not just advertisements). And, this would be a good way to increase Youtube video views as someone would be more likel to watch if it weren't going to take a long time. What do you think?

    For funny/viral clips, short videos work best and are easily shared. Keep your short videos to just a few seconds, such as what you might post to Twitter or Instagram and then post them to Youtube or any other video sharing site.

    I do think short videos between 3-6 minutes are getting more views than long videos. This is probably because of the short attention span of most viewers nowadays.

    In the internet world people have short attention span, which means they will watch the video or read contents only for few seconds, if they do not like what they read or watch, they will run away. Therefore, you will have to give your best on for the first 10 seconds. Secondly, people do not have the patience to read 1500 words article or watch 20 minutes videos unless they are genuinely interested in it. Therefore, you will have to stick with short videos to gain more views.

    I have short attention span when it comes to viewing videoson Youtube that’s why I prefer to watch short videos of 30 seconds and
    sometimes even to 1 minute is still okay as long as the video is relevant. For
    me, a long video is a waste of time. But then again, it depends on the way the
    video is made. There are videos that don’t waste time as if something is
    happening every 2 seconds so you cannot quit watching. If you are making a
    video, my advice is to make a video with substance, i.e. full of relevant
    information and no dull moment.

    Some people like me with my pricey data wouldn't go near any long videos when there are short videos still in that category.When I get to youtube to see a tutorial or anything of interest.My first bet is to look at the time or duration of the video before clicking on it .So based on this premise I think short videos get more views.
