    A brand name will be good. Picking a name that will be of great benefit to the work that you are doing is all that matters. I have noticed that the best way to make things happen is by ensuring that we pick a nice name that cuts across everything that our work stands for.

    The first requirement is a great name. The name should be short, catchy and easy to remember. The second requirement is having a great design. Do not copy the existing models, create a unique site. Thirdly, have a unique concept. Don't create a facebook or twitter like site.

    What I understand with this topic is that you are going to create a social network like Facebook. That’s a gargantuan project that needs ample preparation. Maybe you need to seek the support of your circle because a social network is similar to a forum but it is different in a way that it has to be dynamic at once and for users to come in, you need to show a lot of members. Once there was a social media network made by a Filipino. The purpose was to have a social network that is free from advertisement. It was a noble idea but did not prosper due to lack of membership.

    Unless you target a particular region or particular group of people, you cannot succeed with a new social network. There are many facebook like sites in Russian language, Chinese language, German languages an these are doing great. These sites are performing well because they are catering to people in a certain region and people using a certain language. If the new site is just like Facebook in English with no particular demography, you will never succeed.

    Having an awesome profile picture that will show people how serious that you are. I have noticed that in life, people get to do things with those that are always there to give them the best and when you setup a good profile picture, it will work better at both ends as well.
