If I was really confident in it and thought that it could make some great money then I would strongly consider it.

If I had the money and knew for sure that it was going to be successful or I could at least get out what I put in, then I would say yes.

If my extensive research pointed to a profit then yes. Getting in while a site is cheap and globally unknown but has the people and gear to move forward is a good idea.

Considering what happened with the stock price when Facebook went IPO, I would advise caution and lots of skepticism.

Given the opportunity, I would invest into a social network, (assuming I had the money to do so) as they usually produce a large income for the owners.

Once I read about a social network that earned around $400k (US) in Adsense in one month. But they got banned for suspicious clicks. Though the site owner claimed no wrong doing. Who knew little social networks could earn that kind of money?

I would, but finding the one that will actually become successful is a problem. If I invested 50$ into every social network at the start of it, most certainly I would loose more money than gain it.

First of all, you need to find earning method from social networking websites if you are creating.. if you are doing SEO using social networking sites, then you can say you are investing in promotion.. sure social networking sites send social signal to Google these days and it is major factor in ranking too.

If you are a webmaster, it is very natural to have a dream of having your own social media site. I have been thinking about creating my own social media site since a long time. I havenot attempted to create my own social media site because I do not have skills and knowledge. I want to invest in developing skills and knowledge to create a social media site. I can do this by hiring a programer, but it is very costly. Therefore, I want to learn to programme so that I can develop my own social media sire.

If you mean a site that is a social network, investing in it is a big gamble since we already know that 2 billion of the world’s population is into Facebook. Pretenders are struggling ever since with Twitter not even reaching nearly half that figure. And from what I had read recently, Snapchat is on the verge of bankruptcy. Maybe a social network that can earn for the members have a better chance of progress. People from Facebook can be attracted. One such social media is Tsu. It promises to pay the members and I think there are lots of member there although the earnings are so little.
