Ever been tricked into buying a really cheap domain?

Sometimes, when domains are really super cheap it's easy to justify the purchase, figuring you will do something good with the domain within that first year. Have you ever purchased a really cheap domain for a year based on super cheap price? For instance, maybe the domain was $0.99 the first year. Did you do anything useful with that domain and renew for the second year?

About once a year, I will buy a really cheap domain name if it's on sale for a dollar. There is really no harm in doing this. Even if I don't u se the domain name for much, it didn't cost a lot. And, it's very easy to cancel the agreement that second year. So why wouldn't I do it?

If you get some cheap domain name at the time of registration then renewal fees would be high, so it is better to use any secure registrar like Godaddy and their pricing is also good.

If you're feeling like purchasing some domains there is no better time than now, especially if your in the market for a .us extension. Namecheap is having a nice sale going on, as much as 5 domains for 0.98 each!!

If you used one of these domains to redirect to an affiliate site and just made one sale a year, the domain would more than pay for itself.

No. I wasn't tricked. I don't even know if it was cheap. But I thought the price was reasonable. I intentionally bought it at a low price because I wasn't sure which direction my husband was going to take with his website. I'm glad I didn't pay a lot because he had to stop the project he was working on.
