    What are some good things to keep in mind when choosing a hosting company to host your website? What do you always think about as your choosing a hosting company? What checks do you do? What do you look for from them?

    If you have been using the same hosting service for a long time now, why do you like them so much? What do they offer you that you think is so important? Who are they?

    Support - Check for reviews on how they treat customers & their sites
    Pay for what you use - I prefer cloud hosts, you are charged by hour and not months/years at once.
    Lockdown - Check if they let you easily migrate to other host
    Downtime - Check for downtime records for sites run on them.

    Optional :
    Android/iOS App - See if their exists and app (official or community ) that you can use to remote manage.
    Ease of use - Check for what control panel they provide. Not all of you love terminals !
    Geo Location - See if they have servers where your target audience lives.
