Can you get financial assistance if you are self employed?

Can you get financial assistance if you are self employed? I got medical assistance a month ago. I had a job, I plan to be self employed. I no longer have my job and I'm starting my own work. Can you get financial assistance? Do you know if they would accept you or deny you?

Depending on where you live, you might qualify for Blue Cross insurance, which is affordable, depending on your situation. This should be available even if you are self employed. Also, there might be other government health insurance options available in your country or region, depending on your financial situation.

I agree that you can get insurance. The difference when you are employed is that your employer pays your insurance. When you are self employed you pay your own insurance. All insurance are interested in is that you are able to pay the installments, so long as you can do that you are good to go. I would also advise that you keep some money aside, in case of a medical emergency.I agree that also governments offer a health scheme, also look into this. It is good to have both.
