I got a sample of one of the name brand tooth whitening strips in the mail some time back and tried it out. I didn't really notice a difference, but my family commented on how white and bright my teeth looked. Teeth whitening

I believe it was Colgate 3D whitestrips.

I like using baking soda and peroxide. It tastes really bad but does help to whiten up the teeth.

Yes, this technique works for me too. This is a very old fashioned home beauty remedy and works great for whitening teeth.

You will just need to use caution as the baking soda can scratch your gums and make them raw.

You can even use a little salt on your toothbrush in addition to your whitening paste. And, this will whiten your teeth better.

That works actually and it's a very old fashioned remedy for oral care. However, as with any abrasive product you use, you should be careful as it can rub your gums raw if the mixture is too gritty.

You should add the salt to a wet brush first and then apply the paste over top to ensure it does not scrape your gums roughly

I have use this one too, but I add some lemon juice drops also. The citric acid will take away the plaque quickly, and will improve the taste of the mix. Only issue with this remedy, use it only once a week, use a very soft toothbrush, and rinse your mouth with lots of water. Also it would be a good idea to avoid, coffe, dark chocolate or yellow food, that same day, so they don't attach to the cleaned teeth.

I heard that this wears the enamel away. Do you think that this is true?

Yes Angie I think that it could as it is really abrasive. I would not recommend using this method very often.

There are several home remedies you can try for teeth whitening purposes. However, until you know what works for you, a medical diagnosis can check or reveal what will work best for you.

Baking soda is what many of us uses in Nigeria for teeth whitening. I think using some charcoal that is grounded can be as effective as having to use the other products as well.

We used to have Colgate in the bathroom for our toothpaste but we changed to Close Up to have that close up smile with white teeth. But I guess it’s not really true and the blurb was just a slogan. When we learned that Happy Toothpaste was employing PWDs in their factory, we shifted to Happy Toothpaste not for the teeth whitening but for the charitable work of the company in helping persons with disability.

Charcoal powder! I personally would not recommend this, but I did have it before my home bleaching and this would be my next choice after these. It is abrasive, but the results are near immediate. I saw such a huge difference in my smile after one use, and definitely after three, that I didn’t have to use it again. On my sisters however, it didn’t help them as much.
