3-5 a day, and the reason you feel tired after just 1 cup maybe be because you have developed tolerance..
Like you I love coffee, when I don't feel the same after a cup for a week.. i avoid drinking anything that has caffeine in it for a week or two.

I don't drink it either, maybe if i go out i sometimes do, but that's maybe once a month. I'd probably drink it in the morning if i did, so i could still sleep at night (a coca cola in the evening or energy drink in the afternoon and i'll 100% have trouble sleeping) How much coffee do you drink per day?

Is green tea very high in caffeine? I bet it's got lots of good health benefits as well, possibly more healthy to drink than coffee.

I cannot drink coffee as it sometimes gives me migraines. My wife on the other hand could drink coffee all day long if you allowed her LOL! She normally has one or two glasses of iced coffee in the morning and if she feels that didn't do the trick for her, she will pour herself another glass! Ha ha

Damn, four to five cups of coffee per day is quite a lot.I always only drink two.

One shortly after i wake up (or I can't function) and the other one in early afternoon for that extra little boost of energy that I need. I drink coffee with milk and no sugar.

Few times I drank three cups per day but I was wayyy too hyper. I had so much energy that I didn't really need and it gave me insomnia.

I like my Coffee way too much, I drink about 5 too 8 cups of coffee a day. The amount of coffee I drink on those late nights when I just feel the work doesn't end I drink even more and I just seem to not have the energy in the morning to start my day without that first cup or two. I have tried to quit coffee a couple of times but it really isn't easy for me as I have built up such a tolerance for it. To be honest, It was easier for me to stop smoking that it is for me to get off coffee.

I don't drink it, I only drink it if I am in my girlfriends house and her mother offers me a cup, but in my house nobody needs coffee like it is the only thing that they have to drink, but I think that a lot of coffee is very bad for your health.

Coffee has its benefits but too much caffeine is not good for health. I absolutely love coffee but I make sure I drink in moderation only when I feel like it. It is not a daily habit for me, I drink about 3-4 cups a week, but when I do, the size of the cup is pretty huge! How much coffee do you drink per day?

Hi Precoder, 4-5 cups of coffee aren't too much for you? I drink only one cup of coffeee in the morning and I drink it at the doctor recomandation. Take care of your health Precoder, you drink too much coffee in one day, maybe you don't feel it now but later in your life you will see the effects!

Four to five cups of coffee a day? That is intense stuff! I'd be wired for three days with that much coffee in my system. That being said, I actually don't drink coffee on a daily basis anymore. I have it a few times a month but I have opted for drinking tea instead. For one thing, there are more benefits when it comes to drinking tea, especially green tea. The other thing is that drinks with strong caffeine content aren't that great for me. Not only do I have noticeable trouble falling asleep, but caffeine tends to mess around with my blood pressure.

I used to drink a lot of coffee, about 4 times a day. Well, in my family, we can drink coffee since we are kids, so I was super used to drink it, in the morning, after meals and for my afternoon muncheon. But after years of drinking it, it got me some gastric issues, so I had to stop it. People says if you stop having coffee you will feel headaches, or any other symptoms, but actually i didn't have any of those, What I had was a big stomach treatment, due to the gastric damage coffee did to me. So please take it easy guys and drink it with moderation.

I don't count how many cups of coffee I drink. However, I believe I drink around 6-7 cups in a day. I drink more when I am working on assignments and drink less when I am not working. I also drink more coffee when I have to work late night. Coffe helps me stay awake.

I hardly drink coffee but when I do, I love to make it creamy and white. I also prefer to have iced coffee than hot coffee. I dislike hot beverages and if I need something to perk me up, I would go for an ice cold glass of coke or fruit shake. I don't need coffee to keep me awake, though, as I only need a few hours of sleep to get by on most days.

I used to take 1 coffee a day. And that routine has been reduced to zero. And I take coffee on alternative days. The reason being too much coffee consumption is kind of bad for me. And I am not sure how that works out in that case. I may also reduce the intake of some fruits. I am sure too much consumption of it may not be a good idea and I have to reduce it's consumption for sure.

I don't drink much coffee; only one cup per day. However, if I'm busy with work, I might drink more. Coffee helps me stay focused and eliminate stress.

I am not a coffee drinker because the default drink for breakfast in our home is either milk chocolate or fruit juice. But when I dine out with my sister, she would order coffee for the 2 of us after the meal. She said that coffee helps in the digestion of food. My sister is a nurse and I have to believe her. However I still don’t drink coffee regularly and I sometimes drink coffee in the office when I feel sleepy.

I normally have one or two of those starbucks espresso cans, and I'm starting to think my body has become immune. Either I'm addicted, or I need more caffeine than normal, to function.
