Removed online shop from website, now what?

I am hoping for some guidance here. I have started doing almost everything for my own websites now.
I started working online in 2012 with an online store, then I added a sub-domain for my store. The main website was the retail store and the sub-domain was the wholesale store.
Then I got sick and tired of running an online store and learned about blogging and affiliate marketing.

In February this year I closed my online stores and I am only using the website now (not the subp-domain) to blog.

My SERP has gone down big time since doing this.

I had so many pages, products and posts that no longer applied so I did redirects for these things.

What can I do now to clean up my website. Yes I know this is probably a big question to answer!

Hi Mike

Nope we got our lines crossed here. I made redirected all the pages and products that were no longer relevant to a blog bost I wrote about closing my online store. I did some permanent redirects and some temporary ones because I wasn't sure about those.

What do you advise?

Umm I don't really know too much about this. I added a redirect plugin and used that.

I don't think I can backup to the way it was previously. I get loads of traffic from my social media channels which are excellent for this website and also my email marketing so possibly I should just leave it and work on going up from here?

The website is bringing in money... just the organic traffic is not so hot. And I am obsessed with getting more traffic and my goal is always organic traffic.

I will, thank you so much for your input. I do get some organic traffic but not nearly as much as I would like. We'll see what happens. I am sure it will take off again very soon. In all honesty I haven't been able to spend too much time on that website the last few months, not with adding new content anyway.

I will be making that a priority again soon.
