Not sure if Seoclerks is good place to sell them, but as much i know it's not disallowed, you can double check Listing Guidelines. However i believe for every one of these you will need some kind of proof that you are original author in order to get them published in marketplace, because it's copyrighted properties. So let's see what others think about it.

I believe this would be allowed however as anwebservices already stated you have to verify to the staff team that you are in fact the true owner of these stock photos. If you are found to be selling, or reselling stock photos that you do not have the rights to use, here's what will happen:

Your services will be deleted
Your account will be banned
You will be no longer to sell on the ionicware marketplace
You could be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by the real copyright owner

I would assume this is not allowed since you could just get the stock photos from google images and sell them. You can run into a huge problem if the source of the image tracks back to you, or seoclerks, and a huge fine would have to be paid.

I've heard of web designers using google images and the image they used was originally from gettyimages. The designer didn't get it from gettyimages, they got it from a persons website. The website was published for a couple months, with the image showing on their subpage, and gettyimages contacted the website own and told them that not only did they have to remove the image, but they had to pay $1,700 for the image being on their website. So for each stock image you sell, you could cost SeoClerks around $1,700

By allowing you to sell stock images, SeoClerks is putting themselves at risk of lawsuits and huge fines. It would be easier to refuse you to sell stock images than take a risk and potentially paying thousands of dollars per image shown. And even if you don't show the image on your profile, gettyimages and other stock photo websites can just make a free account and buy from you. If you sell them one of their own Images BOOM! Lawsuits and fines as far as the eye can see

In the end, I would assume it's safer to not let you sell stock images because of the risk of huge fines that SeoClerks would have to pay if you're caught selling these.

There was a discussion a while ago regarding stock photos, and being allowed to sell them. The only thing is that the person whom is selling the stock photos must be the real author of the stock photos. But as far as I'm aware there isn't even much demand for stock photos on this marketplace, so it could end up being a total waste of time.

However, your response regarding lawsuits and the risks involved is totally correct. This site doesn't need nor want that happen in any way, shape or form. However, if the seller is the official owner of the stock photo and if they wish to use this marketplace as their platform to sell such photos, shouldn't they be allowed?

If there's a rock solid method in order to verify the ownership of these stock photos, then I'd say yes.

But it's easier to just say no instead of deal with the hassle of stock photo selling because of all the million dollar companies that focus on just that.

You could code up a system that identifies stock photos on other platforms and that could weed out the false sellers, but how long would that take to code and implement. It would take quite a long time and also the bugs would need to be worked out. Time is money, and the profits from a few sellers putting up their stock photos would be trumped by how long it would take to code up a script to identify unique pictures. And even if the code was written and worked well, would it be able to identify a photo that was taken off of a stock photo website and altered a bit? I know gettyimages has a system in place that can detect this, so if someone puts up a stock photo that was altered to be "unique", gettyimages will still be able to figure you out and send out a huge fine. They're notorious for this and have a huge department that handles all of their copyright problems when websites sell or use their images without their consent. If you can't provide a proof of purchase, you're screwed.

Basically it would cost too much to program a system to detect images and in the end you're most likely going to run into a lawsuit because not everyone will want to sell their own photos. They'll just try to sell something for $5 when they pay a subscription of $20 for unlimited photos.

Stock photo companies won't come after the seller for this, they'll come after SeoClerks.

Hi Sanfora I think you have got all potential answer. And as per as I know you can sale such type of service like stock photo and I tried to check Listing Guidelines and I did not see anything against your such service. Rather, I know most of SM service now disallowed. Did you see such type of service has created by other seller? Despite of you can contact with help desk and they will assist you. Or, before contact you can create a service for stock photo. If not allowed by SC, it should be deleted. And you will get answer too.

I believe there are lots of places you can sell stock images though, maybe have a quick Google search for places? I was thinking of taking photos and selling them but not sure how lucrative that would be.

I do not think it would be such a good idea and even though there seems to be nothing mentioned about them specifically on the responsible listing guidelines, I assume that the admin will not be going through the risk that the photos you are trying to sell actually belong to you. I would not risk doing it. I do not think that it is worth the hassle and whoever might be interested in photos can easily purchase them elsewhere where there is no need to pay anything either.
