How to make a blog more succesful?

I'm going to be honest I don't really know much about blogging but from what I do understand of it, Blogging has a lot too do with discussions. So my question is how does one go about making sure that his blog can reach out to people? How can you make sure your blogs reaches its potential as far as getting ideas recognized and gathering more people to jump on board. Do you get help? Where do you start and how do you go about it? Can social networks help?

I think the key is to make sure that you are a good blogger and that you are going to post interesting posts that will be great for people. You need to make sure readers feel that they want to read more, and that what they are reading is making an impact or helping them in one way or another. So the blog needs to be RELEVANT AND HELPFUL. This is the most important thing, and it will lead to the success of the blog naturally. Other than that it is important to post often so as to keep your blog alive. Advertising is another matter altogether, it can help but it is not everything.

i definitely agree with this every thing you do whether writing a blog running a business or just things in life that you put your time in to , it all has too be relevant. and from the blog aspect i think that plays a big role in the way the blog runs and develops , its actually smart to keep relevance cause times move fast and with time goes the people so you know i have to agree completely with you completely and it does also have to be helpful nobody wants a meaningless blog, appreciate your thoughts thanks

I have 3 websites that I blog on, a mommy blog, an addiction blog and a website about online marketing. I think the trick is to be yourself and really get your personality out there, this is a big reason why I am getting so into Youtube too. It is a way for people to get to know me better.

I make use of social media and I concentrate on organic traffic through content marketing. So far my blogs are quite successful and getting noticed which is really exciting since I have only ventured into blogging full time this year. I have lots of plans to grow my blogs in the future.

yea you have a real valid point see what i got out of your comment was that people need to feel relations they have to feel like they connect to the topic at hand , it could be one thing just writing topics all day but it is a complete different thing when your personality is involved and people feel that originality with your opinions and topics , it gives you that make yourself at home kind of feeling which is great cause then people feel more comfortable to express opinions and communicate with you , good job and good luck with you tube

Oh I didn't answer your question about whether I get help: not at this stage, I do everything myself. I am going to start outsourcing some of my content writing soon. I haven't been comfortable with anyone writing for me as I have been looking for the right person and I think I found that person now.

I think a lot of things go on for the reputation management. Also some of the time people have to learn how to blog with some viral headlines. I have yet to find people who have not used the viral clickbait headlines yet got the traffic. Almost every popular blogger had done this in past. And this means one has to be writing lot in order for all of this to work. Social media presence also helps in getting traffic.

To me, blogging is not a discussion but a kind of monologue. It only becomes a discussion of sorts when there are comments that are needing replies. Success can be measured in many ways but primary is the traffic. When your blog is getting a good number of views then you can say it is successful especially when your blog is monetized and you are earning a substantial amount.

You can open your blog for guest posts and you can start some contests in your blog. Advertise it in Facebook, target relevant sites to funnel more traffic to your site.
