How do you deal with negative commentators?

When blogging you can be faced with all kinds of opinions and that is fine, kind of the point right. but how do you deal with someone who is not exactly being civilized; someone who goes above and beyond and is unbearable to even communicate with.

Even so how do you go about dealing with said person if they continue even when the issue being discussed is over.

Unfortunately i have had to deal with these type of difficult people before but I'm curious as to what every one else thinks would be a good way to handle such situations.

Something I have learned in life (and this is not from business, this is from counseling and being in treatment for addiction) is that you cannot control what other people do, you can only control yourself.

So when people are negative and unreasonable and behave in a manner that is just not appropriate in any way just make sure your side of the street is clean.

And don't let it get to you on a personal level.

Then regarding your website, well you need to reply to every comment don't you? So this ends up being a non-stop thing doesn't it? Kinda like playing tennis. This is good for your website. Engagement tells the search engines people are interested in your content and every comment related to your content adds new keywords and adds new content.

I love my haters, they help me get ranked How do you deal with negative commentators? So be grateful.

Totally agree with you. Try to see the positive thing about it jkeyz - these kind of people should be treated with respect (even though sometimes it is difficult to remain logical when they act like crazy) - and as long as you keep being polite and answer properly and respectfully, you are going to be the leader of the whole conversation. Most likely others will be interested in what is going on and this is going to affect your engagement and site use considerably just as Lynne pointed out. So even if it may appear tedious, consider the good in this! ;)

yea i think that is the most important thing to remember honestly is that when it comes down too it you can not i repeat can not let it get to you emotionally and i feel that is were most people get it wrong they get to involved and those would be the cases were blogging or even communication in general goes south , of course your not going to agree on what every body has too say that is why we have opinions you just be got to state facts clearly and hope everything turns out for the best

You should see my Youtube channel! They all hate my guts and my channel is pumping How do you deal with negative commentators?

Keep your chin up and keep responding in a very nice, friendly tone and take it all in your stride... trust me. The ruder people get and the more angry they get the sillier they make themselves look.

If you are getting under people's skin you are doing a great job. I would rather have all these haters than no engagement at all... I am being noticed. People are sitting up and noticing me. When you are working online you have to be noticed or you are just another online marketer struggling to succeed!

Hi jkeyz2 thanks for your sharing your concern. I am happy to know that you already handle such situation. I have curious why they do so, I mean why they leave negative comments? Is there any reason you have got? if you got, try to fix it. Or keep silent of yourself, and observe what they want to write? I think criticism may help you to learn for rectify yourself. I tried to do such thing, while I see somebody try to criticize with me, I keep silent myself and after than they need to silent too usually due to no response. If you poke them, I think they will more encourage to do react negatively.

well i mean you know in life business or at home you got to take into consideration that there are always people that are not going to be willing to see eye to eye exactly and some of those people feel passionate enough about what they speak and what they are representing that you know they take certain things and just blow out of proportion a little , and those are the types of people i had in mind for this post i have not dealt with too many but for the ones i have i can say i respect there views

I think if they are adding some valid criticism then that can be handled. But if they are not adding any positive input then it can be safely said that it is better to ignore them. Because there are no ways we can fix them. And they are only going to increase if we argue. So that is another thing one has to consider. I have found that negative comments take a lot of time to materialize and we can't really fix those things.

I don't usually pay attention to negative people, especially those who just put comments for the sake of provoking you. I usually ignore them and move forward to my activities. Arguing with negative people will not help boost positive comments. It will only promote hate and start a fight. You may win an argument with them, but you end up being a loser because you let it ruin your day and give you a bad image. I just focus and pay attention to positive people. It helps destroy negative thoughts the moment they appear. Besides, you learn more from positive comments. It can even help you know what areas you can improve.

I don't answer to negative comments. This will add fuel to the fire. Might as well ignore them and get on with life. Answer those positive comments. There are people who are meant to make things difficult to us writers.

The best bet is to ignore negative people.when dealing with the public one should always learn to accommodate all sort especially those ones we can't change. So instead of sending them off and then lose traffic,I rather work around with it or totally ignore them

A negative comment is meant to improve our work. However, I understand that there are comments that can hurt the writer. And there are also commentators who post a comment to intentionally hurt feelings as a way of their outlet for their hangups. Those I call negative commentators. If the negative comments are getting out of hand then it’s about time to chop it down - block the commentator for your peace of mind and his as well.

I think negative comments should be embraced unless its some kind of troll who is attacking you. If you're selling products on your blog and you get negative comments, I think you should aim to address them. Adjusting rather than ignoring and getting annoyed at negative comments will show your potential customers that you care. I think addressing negative comments is good customer service.Learn how to deal in a classy way with comments that are supposed to be malicious.
