Buyer claims I used google-translate but I didn't

The buyer of my service gave me 6 files with TERRIBLE English and grammar/vocabulary and he claims that I google-translated it because I translated it to exactly what it said in the English text to Swedish. I didn't use any Swedish grammar but is that really my fault? He wanted his text to be translated for exactly what it said and I delivered what he asked for. Can he get his money back and ruin my business for this?

You'll need to translate it via Google translate, and show the differences between the two text. Inform them that it is not translated via Google translate and list the reasons why.
I have to re-write all the files I suppose. ugh

Unfortunately, in circumstances like this, you'll probably end up mutually canceling the order. Happens all the time, especially with translation services. People think you use Google translate, or another translator..

I was going to ask for what "proof" you can show the buyer and this seems like a legitimate way to show proof. What proof does the buyer have? They must have some reason for making that claim. The key is to figure out what that reason is and debunk it.

Not sure if proof would even suffice in this claim. The buyer can always say that it was done via an online translator.

Yeah, I guess however it seems like this seller really speaks the language fluently and Google Translator is good, but not that good.

In any case, determining the buyer's grievance couldn't hurt. It could even help in future translations.

Also, it would be pretty easy for support to run the same text through Google translator and see if it matches. The documents should all be there in the order URL.

Yes, but the buyer can then still claim it was translated via an online translator even if the documents are somewhat different than what the translator outputs. :/

Can you not discuss this with your customer and try and come to an arrangement. Often it is just some misunderstanding that needs to be cleared.

Good luck, I hope you come right.

From my experience if his original text in English was not correct, and you just translated it immediately to Swedish without bothering to first edit the actual content in English so that it makes some sense, the result is truly going to be similar to content that came out of Google Translate. You first need to see what he intended to imply in the original content, and then translate it to Swedish language, so as to avoid this problem. Let me ask you, if you read what you sent him, does it make sense? Is it fluent and well written?

Hi NickAcademy thanks for showing your concern here. It is really fuzzy situation going on with you. I think you just translate what he provides to you as English article and you make it Swedish and now he claim you used Google translator. So, If you knew that, his writing too bad, you need to re-correct his article by discussing with buyer. If buyer agree with that change, you had to go for translate. And I think you know Google translator, will not work as human translators as natural language. So, tell your buyer what he wants now. And if possible go for according to buyer requirement. As a seller sometime need to do job double, until buyer satisfaction.

Or, if you think you have did correct job for him and if you can show evidence, you can contact with support and they should help you.

Hey NickAcademy,
Jag antar att du redan har fått tillräckligt med hjälp i detta ärende? Hur som haver, om du har några frågor eller behöver hjälp på något annat sätt så tveka inte att höra av dig, om du hellre pratar svenska det vill säga.

And just to make this easy for others to understand. The above text is in Swedish. As both of us are from Sweden I thought it would be easier to discuss things using our own language. No hard feelings! Just google translate in case you're interested Buyer claims I used google-translate but I didn
