How to get mobile alerts (push notifications) on your phone about order updates to reduce your response time

Is it possible to get mobile alerts about order updates, messages etc on your mobile phone?

Push notifications I mean. Like when you get a PayPal payment sort of thing that shows either on the lock screen and pings when you get it like.

You know what I mean!

Is that possible?

If not would you like this as a feature? Would you like to get alerts about new order updates as-they-happen?

I think it would be an excellent way for people to reduce their response time!

Sometimes we don't know about order updates etc until we get the email.

Although saying that... I think this might be possible with an IFTTT recipe!

I might have to try setting one up for any emails that say "Order Update" to send me an SMS I guess that could be a work-around but built in SMS alerts would be neat.

If anyone is interested, I have managed to get alerts using IFTTT using this IFTTT recipe. It's not SEOClerks push notification. But it's a work around so that whenever an email is received from SEOClerks with subject of "Order Update" it sends a notification to your phone via the IFTTT app.

OK but i set to receive email notifications to my email, and i set up this email on my smartphone, so as soon i receive email about sale or other alerts, i hear the sound of email received. If it's about sale, i respond same minute and keep my response time low as possible

Ah I see! Yes, well I use an iPhone and I don't think it has that setting anywhere. I'll have to try and find an app for that. Currently I'm using this IFTTT recipe which is a work-around but it's not perfect and I need something more idea for it that alerts me when a new sale is made or an update has been made on one of my orders like. Yeah, I always use my phone to get updates about stuff. I do get a ton of emails though, so sifting through them gets annoying some times when I neglect if for a few days. I'll come back to 500 emails waiting for me... and let's not talk about my spam box :'(

If there were an app for SeoClerks I would assume there would be notifications to let you know about comments, private messages, orders, etc. I know people were talking about an SeoClerks app, but I don't know if it was 100% confirmed.

There is an SeoClerks app on the app store, but it's from someone that isn't a part of the SeoClerks team. It looks like a seller was just trying to help people out and providing an app, but they didn't do a great job with it lol.

I understand totally. I too wake up to hundreds of emails, some of it is spam, mostly due to a website I signed up for that sold email addresses to the highest bidder, and they don't even have unsubscribe links. :/

Now, lets talk about that Seoclerks APP.

I'm not too certain if that app is safe, as you already said it's not from someone part of the SEOclerks team, which can be bad. I wonder what coding that app uses, and if it has any backdoors, or even things like cookie grabbers. It's always best to be safe than sorry.

That is a good option for those who get several emails and would want to be aware of the SeoClerks one only, or prioritize on them. It could indeed help to reduce the response time I suppose especially if they are not at their computer. However I would suggest that you retain one email account solely for SeoClerks emails and other important work emails. I always liked to set up different email accounts according to importance, so that whenever I get an email on one I instantly know what the email is going to be about.

I did a little research and figured out the app was made by a Lvl 4 member here on SeoClerks. Here's his or her profile: https://www.seoclerks.com/user/IGEEKS

Interesting. I've not come across it yet. If it's not an official app I probably wouldn't use it since like you say you don't know how it's been coded and whether it steals your cookies and login details or something! So yeah, probably not a good idea. I think it probably only shows the website in the app anyway and isn't actually coded to work with SEOClerks like an official app would. I also just found a Google Play Store app as well here. But again, it says on that "this is not an official SEOClerks app" but was made by an SEOClerks member but again, I wouldn't trust it/use it as you just don't know and it's not worth it. And again, I think all it does is show the website in the app it doesn't provide push notifications or anything like that.

Hey Mike,

After a little bit of research I found out the app was made by this user https://www.seoclerks.com/user/IGEEKS

Yeah I saw that Raz, that doesn't mean much to me. I still wouldn't use it. Even if I had an Android device. Not because I wouldn't trust it. But because it wouldn't offer absolutely any functionality or benefit what so ever that I could not get out of just using the safari browser or other on my mobile to access the SEOClerks site. Plus it would be safer. All he's done is create an iframe in an app basically and it's easy as pie to get an app on the Google Play store. Try getting one on the Apple app store then I might be interested. But again, unless it actually offered push notifications, it still wouldn't be of any more benefit to me than my browser on my phone would be and would just be a waste of space even worth having installed imho. I really hope that Jordan and the awesome Ionicware entity creates an iOS/Android app with push notifications. I would download and install it in a heartbeat! Or perhaps someone out there can develop one with push notifications. Hopefully it's only a matter of time! I think that this would be such a great idea!!! And it would help with response times, which is so beneficial for our customers! A Seoclerks app would make life so much easier and I hope one day for it to happen!
