Seoclerks fee is getting to be too much

Hello, I'm Nextant.

So recently I've been getting a lot of high price orders ranging from $35-$100 and I've really seen my profit go down. My one order of $75, I only get $60. I'm really starting to dislike high price orders, seoclerks gets more and more! With $5 orders, I'm only losing $1 but no big deal but when you have hundreds of dollars you really see a lot go.

Think of it this way, if you didn't list your service on SeoClerks, you wouldn't have made anything from those sales ;)

20% commission to SeoClerks is actually pretty good considering they help bring in a ton of clients by doing plenty of advertising for us. I've been to obscure websites in the SEO and Online Marketing field and have seen and SeoClerks ad posted on there. These aren't adwords banners either, these are monthly ads on these websites. I like seeing this because it shows that SeoClerks is also interested in paying the little guys for an ad spot, they're not just posting banner ads in adwords in order to get some clicks for sales.

If you think in a way that SeoClerks is taking your hard earned money, you'll never be happy with your sales. I use to get jealous of some of my friends who were making more than me, but then I had to sit back and re-evaluate everything. I realized that they work more than double of the hours that I do and they only make around 20% more than me lol. A friend of mine told me a long time ago that if I focus on who is making the money I'll never make it for myself. I didn't understand what he was saying at the time because I was a young buck in the entrepreneur field and he was a veteran. After a couple of years I realized what he meant and I started to get happier with every sale lol.

So stay happy with your 80% commission per sale and think of it as you're giving SeoClerks a 20% commission for lead generation Seoclerks fee is getting to be too much

Totally agree with you. I used to work elsewhere, and there were fees too. However the service that I got were in no way comparable to how Seoclerks treats members. For instance on iwriter I used to pay a 19% fee on every a rticle I wrote. However support staff are not helpful at all and whenever I had a problem they never helped me. I was thus basically paying a fee simply to have access to articles that were being requested but with a high probability of having them rejected, which in fact often happened.

Hi Nextant.
SEOClerks takes 20% commission on all your sales. No matter if you sell something for $1 or for $100. Or $500+. The commissions are still the same. However, I can see how you feel, as it's easier to feel that "loss of money" when you finally got a $100 order. BAM! You "lose" $20 straight away. With that being said, you shouldn't think like that.

SEOClerks provides a platform for you to use. They allow you to sell your services and to make money.. Without that 20%, you wouldn't have such a great marketplace and you wouldn't have got those $100 orders.. At least not from this marketplace.

Let's see it this way instead. You live in an apartment and you need to pay rent. You pay rent because you live, eat and sleep in that place. Think of SEOClerks as your landlord. You work here and wouldn't be able to do that if it weren't for SEOClerks. It's not more than right that SEOClerks takes their share.

Best Regards,

Let's not forget that if you refer your own clients, you will be able to keep 100% commissions. That's right! So, Nextant, if you have your own clients off of SEOclerks you could get them to do business here.

Now you may ask "If I have my own clients why would I be doing business here?".

Here's the answer:

The marketplace offers 'top of the line' security. Not only that, it's a great platform to show your reviews all in one place.

Don't you think it's fair for them to take 20% of all orders? 20% may seem like a lot especially if you ordered something for $100, however due to the security measures in place, it's great because it'll be much harder to be scammed, etc.

It just seems so different the fee compared to a 5$ order. Good example also lol

If you are earning more because the service costs more it is all a matter of simple proportion. You are also keeping more money in your pocket at the end of the day if you sell a higher priced service. It is as if it is one big service of say $50 instead of 10 services of $5 each. The result is ultimately the same.

Hi Nextant,

As mentioned by hitmeasap, the commission for all the sales are the same so you shouldn’t really feel that way. Something you should ask yourself is, would you be able to get these clients if you were not on SEO Clerks? I can say I personally won’t be able to get these clients without SEO Clerks and in order for SEO Clerks to keep giving you clients, they require a share of your sales. 20% commission is already very low as there are other marketplaces that charge more and that just means less profits for you.

Kind regards,
MasterA

Good point but I think 20% is worth it, especially with the traffic you can easily make up for it in volume

Yup, you could also raise prices to cover that 20% fee, however it'll cost the buyer more. The traffic on the site is pretty great so you could always recover any fees.

I guess that it is true but I still move money into PayPal because they have even more security and I have my money on my card instantly

Paypal's security, and SEOclerks security is about the same. You should look into securing your account more if you haven't already. I can hold over $500 USD in my account, and it won't be touched.

Hi Nextant thanks for your question. I am not to worry as like you and I do not care too what SEOclerks deduct from me. I just consider this as way of opportunity, SEOclerks give us such great marketplace to do sell our service and earning money. Compare with such great opportunity like 20% is not much more for me. Rather I compare with other marketplace where they deduct more than 20% from each sale. And do not often paid seller earning. If you sell $1 to $999 all times 20% applicable. No matter how big you have got order? Just work as you can and set fair price what you can?

You cannot expect to make a 100% profit as you are basically using the service of the site to make the listing, and if it were not for the site's popularity you would not have reached out to such a big market of prospective clients. You also benefit from the safety net, so to speak, that the Seoclerks marketplace offers you. Instead of dealing with people via email and hoping that they pay you, here you are protected by the system as buyers pay in advance and in case they reject your work for no reason you will still get paid as the site admin steps in.

Well all I can say is congrats! You have been wanting to make more sales and you have wanted to move up in levels here right? It sounds like you are...

I am sure it feels a bit disheartening to see how many sales you are making and then seeing the deductions... but without a this market place you would be making less money.

If you have your own traffic/client, you can keep 100% money at SEOClerks. As far as I know no other marketplaces offer this feature. So if you can drive traffic to your own service, you don't have to pay any fees. According to me this is great feature.
