Quality Service Images Help Increase Sales

Looking for a way to help boost sales of your services? Surely you may improve the description or perhaps the service title, but do you ever make sure your images are of quality?

TIP: For those that do index page featuring this may come in handy for you!

Where to Start
Firstly, you need to find that perfect image or create it! To find or create the perfect image, you need to find out what objects are relevant for your service's niche.

What do you mean by relevant objects?
Literal objects. Let me provide an example:

Since this marketplace is SEOclerks and geared towards SEO, we'll start there. How would you define SEO via an image? Of course you could always settle for a graph image, or a magnifying glass (usually used for searches). But what is better than a simple graph or magnifying image?

This is an example of a bad service image:

If this image is your service image, i'm sorry, try to make it look more professional. :/

Why is this image better than the image above?
It's all about visually stimulating the parts of the brain that corresponds with relaxation, feelings of bliss, excitement, etc. Here we have a woman on her laptop, with a coffee, entering keywords into Google search engine. This is what people do on a day to day basis, so the general internet surfer will know what she is doing just by looking at the image. They'll feel as if they are just like her, because they too search the internet via search engines, they'll have an immediate feeling of connectedness.

Image Quality:
For best results you could save your image as a PNG, or JPEG image format just make sure the image doesn't pixelate. What is pixelate? That is when you see little square pixels on the image, because it saved in a low quality format, or was rendered for low quality.

Adding quality image to service description and making images related to service is very important for sellers who maintaining their quality. I also love to see some services have made it's own, dedicated video published on YouTube and added to service descriptions. It's very appealing and eye catching for customers and visitors, so it's recommended too. Also fixing grammar in service descriptions is very important too and i wish some people start fixing them because i can see some very poor descriptions around.
And if we say taht image speaking thousand words, then there is clear explanation, why to use quality images!

And how Everett do you make sure the images don't pixelate like that? I usually search Pixabay for high quality images and then I use Canva to customize them how I want them. I have sometimes had a problem where the text pixelates and I can't understand what I have done wrong.

I have noticed now that there is one particular text on Canva that usually pixelates, I can't remember which one it was but I always avoid that one. I just can't understand the why?

You probably need to toggle the feature for "Anti-Aliasing" if the program utilizes this function. Usually this is found via the text options. I've never used those programs so I have no idea if it has the feature or not.

Anti-Aliasing makes it so the font appears to be more smooth, and not pixelated as shown on the image above. You can get some fonts that are more smooth though, try 1001fonts, or dafont to find some that you may like. I use Photoshop, GIMP or Paint.NET and they usually have features to Anti-Aliase the font, and sometimes this is done automatically.

Thanks Everett, I will check Canva for an anti-aliasing feature. I have never heard of that before. It is rather strange though isn't it? Surely an image design website would have text that does not pixelate? Or maybe I am missing something important here.

Yes, I think making your image look as sleek and well designed as possible is the thing to do. It is important to have a great image represent you because there is certainly a lot of competition out there and you want your image to be the best, and represent you the way you wish to be respresented.
