Make some extra money writing for websites.

Now I'm not going to go through and list 100 different websites that will pay you for writing. If I did that I would be here for days typing because of all the niches that I would have to cover. Even if I did the top 10, this would be an extremely long post lol Make some extra money writing for websites.

Now then, how can you make money writing? (you'll actually be typing)

I'll use snowboarding as an example niche because I can shred like Shaun White Make some extra money writing for websites. not really Make some extra money writing for websites.

Just so you know, you will get rejected... A LOT. but don't let that get you down.

What you'll do is pretty simple. Go to Google and typing in "snowboard blogs" or "snowboard websites" or something similar. If you're searching for snowboarding websites, make sure they have a blog.

Get a large list of websites, maybe around 100 or so to start. You can use software to do this in a fraction of the time, but if you don't have access to something like scrapebox, you'll have to do it manually.

After you have your list, you'll have to figure out how to convince them to hire you as a writer. Yeah, you're just going to email all of these websites. Think of it as applying for a job, but you don't know who is looking to hire lol Make some extra money writing for websites. Write up a convincing "application" and send it through their Contact Us page or email they provide as a contact. Normally the Contact Us forms will go directly to their inbox rather than sending a random email to their support email.

In the message you should contain a sample of your writing, a link to where you already write will look better because they can see what you've already done for other websites. If you don't have anything online already, just attach some content you've written up specifically for them. Having work that is publicly viewable already is better than attaching a file.

You can actually automate the contact form submission process using software Make some extra money writing for websites. You'll need to find a good piece of software to do this though. The one I've been using seems to break and only get a few messages through. And sometimes when the message does get through it is a blank submission and people respond back only to ask what I was trying to send Make some extra money writing for websites.

If you have 100+ messages going out, you should get 1-10 responses if you're lucky. I try to think of it as 1 per 100 sent will respond. You probably won't get the rates you want, but you have to look at this as you're entering at the ground floor and once you prove your skills you can get a pay raise Make some extra money writing for websites.

So go out there and find some work Make some extra money writing for websites.

That is a very good idea Razzy. I never actually considered doing this as I always wrote on marketplaces and for sites that had made an advert or issued a call for writers. However for those writers who are just trying to start off, and maybe even in case we end up not getting as many orders as we would be able to handle, this is indeed a good idea. There are countless sites that need content, and chances are that the site owners either do not have time or are incapable of doing it. Your email could actually encourage a good number of them to hire you.

Hi Razzy

Something that has really been screaming at me the last 2 weeks or so is Scrapebox! From not knowing about it to suddenly hearing about it all the time. I think I am so going to have to give this a go!

This is a great article with amazing tips Razzy. You know before I started working online I spent a lot of time trying to figure out different ways to make money online. And writing was something I searched and searched for. All I came up with was BS and scams.

Thank you for sharing a very useful guideline on how to find blogs to write for. This really is awesome. I might just give this a go sometime.

Scrapebox is pretty amazing Make some extra money writing for websites. I don't really use it for posting to blogs, which is what it was mainly designed for lol. I know a ton of people who only use it for scraping and not just blog posting, so I guess they all had the same ideas I did Make some extra money writing for websites.

Razzy do you have a couple of clones around? How do you manage to handle all those freelancing services you talked about in previous posts but also have the time to write content as well as message hundreds of people for landing even more gigs in the future.

That's wild! Keep in up! I wish I was as worked driven as you are. Anyways, you just gave me a very good idea on getting new clients for my content writing services! Will try it by using an email service like mailchimp. Do you think it will work?

VA's are a pretty amazing thing if you can find good ones lol Make some extra money writing for websites.

Mailchimp is pretty good, but you'll want to email all these people directly and not from a system that is easily seen as automated.

Put some time and effort in, or hire a VA to do it for you lol Make some extra money writing for websites.

Sure! I always found that contacting people directly and making everything more personal will result in a lot more "converted" emails. Thanks again Razzy, I'll never run out of freelance clients with this method!

Most of it can be automated if you want.
  • Use scrapebox to get a huge list of websites in the niche you want to write in.
  • Use a contact form submitter to submit all your messages to the website owners.
  • Manually respond to all the emails if you get a response and go over terms.
  • If you don't have scrapebox, you can pay someone $5 to $10 for a giant scraped list of websites in the niche you're wanting to post in.
  • If you don't have software to post to the contact us pages, hire a VA to do it for you while you sit back and wait for the responses.

Doing the work yourself is usually costs a little more because you're buying software. You can normally get a VA from India or the Philippines for around $60 a week and they will submit your message to thousands of websites in that time.
  1. If you bought the software and ran everything yourself it would cost around $100 (probably less).
  2. To pay people to do it for you it would probably cost $65 to $85.

So in the end you could spend a little more and have the software at your disposal. Or you can pay a little less but not be able to do it again unless you paid up. So in the long run you'll actually save money doing it yourself because you're not paying a VA $60 a week to post to the pages.

This is easier said than done. I have been writing online since 2007. However, I have been unable to earn my living just by writing. I have written for writing sites, I have also written for clients. I have written with my byline and I have ghost written. I have sold articles, stories and ebooks. However, money from writing always falls short. If you want to earn your living through writing, your language should be very good, you should come from English speaking country (for non-English speaking writers, it is really hard to compere with the native speakers), you must have ability to write very fast.
Further more applying for writers job on various websites can be really frustrating.

I appreciate so much for this wonderful information you gave on how one can make loads of cash writing on the internet. I mean that with such a useful information, I would be thinking towards having that type of life that revolves around writing to make money since I've got the passion to continue writing since I was a kid.

I know few local sites but they don't pay much. Like 1$ for the per 700 word article and that too per month. So that's not a good rate. Also I get to write only 4 articles on those sites. So barely earn 4$ on them. So it can be different for many different type of the websites. I guess we have to find out what may or may not work in this case for different type of websites. I am just learning to do things here. Hoping things work out as well. I guess for extra money one needs to find some good sites where they can get better rates.

Gee, that is a neat trick for finding job prospects. I like the idea. However, you have to agree that the hardest part is in convincing the blogger or website owner to hire you as writer for their site. Finding a prospect is easy but getting hired is another story. But if you are desperate for a job perhaps that can do you good. Instead of moping at home, search for a prospective employer by using Google.

Since these days everyone seems to be a writer, writing is very competitive niche. There are numerous websites that hire writers, however, getting approved for writing on these websites is really hard. The easiest ways to write and earn is by joining writing websites and earn money from revenue share or page views. You can join sites like hubpages, daily two cents, virily etc. However, you need to be active in publishing to earn money.

The advice provided in this discussion are easy instructions to follow. But so is your advice. In my opinion, the sites you mention are good for practicing and improving your writing and making some income. But if you do have success contacting the websites, as Mr. Carey recommends, and the site owners really like your writing you may get some steadier income. What I need to know is how to determine if the websites I am contacting have a good search engine ranking so that my writing work will be found by others.

If you do a google search you can find many websites offering $50 and above for a piece. These websites accept unsolicited manuscripts. You can submit your work for review. I have been doing things since 2005 and have not found any luck. But you might because you come from the country where English is the first language. You might also contact the site owner and send your pitch. I have also done this but no luck yet.
