    No point in having a nofolow affiliate link, as the term is saying it is NO folow

    If you still do not know, the no-follow link is used when you do not want the search engine crawler to check on a particular web page. For example you have created a content with a portion copied from another site that may affect the ranking of your site in the search engine. But since you think that the content is important to your readers so you retain the copied portion and just set the web page to no-follow. That will avoid the risk of giving a negative on the SEO of your site.
