What exactly is Google RankBrain?

I have been hearing all about Google RankBrain recently and I want to know what everyone else knows about it!

Here's what I have learned so far.

Google RankBrain is a machine learning artificial intelligence system that Google is using to help process search results

It is from what I can see the latest addition to the algorithm

Google RankBrain is only a part of the Google Hummingbird search algorithm, it is not the whole system.

Apparently out of hundreds of different signals Google has made RankBrain the third most important signal so it is certainly something to be looking at!

So what exactly does RankBrain do and how can I make sure this works to my advantage?

Well, you kinnda summarize everything already. Indeed Google Rank Brain has become the third most important algorithm for Google Search.

The only way I know how to influence and work thing to your advantage with Google Rank Brain would be to increase your organic Click Throw Rate. You can do that big creating better-optimized title tags and meta descriptions.

Having a better CTR will tell Google people find your title and description more relevant and you will essentially rise in rank because of this.
Or at least that's the theory.

Yes that certainly helps Cristian.

When I was reading up on it I thought that it was a way to summarize all the information in a post and even though the exact search term that someone is searching for may not be in my post it might be that the post as a whole fits that search so then my post could come up... does that make sense?

So it rewards posts that are quality, lengthy and relevant above the actual specific words.

Do you mean to say that the Google RankBrain is just like an arm of Google to analyze the websites for consideration to the search list result? And if that is so then it can be taken as a part of the algorithm already. However, we know that Google will not give a clue to their algorithm so I guess RankBrain is just an experiment of sorts that validates their algorithm but not really part of the algorithm itself.
