Are automated backlinks softwares still very effective

I have made use of automated link-building software like scrapebox, GSA SER ranker etc and that they are capable of creating so many backlinks,.but when i check the page rank or domain authority of these backlinks, almost 95% of the are either page rank zero or not rated yet. so i begin to ask myself if it is worth using these tools to get backlinks to get higher website rankings?.
In my opinion, i am beginning to feel these automated tools are no longer useful again since they cannot create a good number of high PR backlinks. I am beginning to create my backlinks MANUALLY in high PR websites.
WHAT IS YOUR OWN OPINION ABOUT THIS ISSUE?

Of course, that low quality automated backlink software don't really work. I'm not saying there aren't freelancers out there capable of delivering automated backlinks that totally influence rankings and domain authority. Also, stop talking about Page Rank, Google Page Rank doesn't matter!

Alright, well noted, thank you very much for your input. I have stopped talking about page rank some time ago.

You need to search for high quality backlinks, not just high pr backlinks. Most SEO software can't post to the best websites because they have systems in place that restrict automation. These websites become the authority they are because there isn't a ton of spam or random backlinks on there aimed at pointless websites. So for the high quality links you'll have to do them manually. I would suggest getting scrapebox and getting a large list of links to post to. Take that list and add it to your SEO software, then run it. I wouldn't run it on your own website, run it on a wikipidia page or something like that. When the software is done you will have all your live links and also the ones that didn't work. The ones that didn't work are the gold nuggets Are automated backlinks softwares still very effective or they're dead websites lol.

Take these golden nuggets and begin to create your accounts on them manually. It takes a bit of time to do this, but it's worth it. After you have the accounts created, you'll want to begin posting on them. Don't post your links immediately because your account will get deleted extremely quick. Post maybe 10 times on these websites and then begin to add your links to a signature and profile if possible. Don't push you links in the comments unless you gain authority in the forum and the admins/mods know you're not there just to make a quick buck. Gaining trust from the admins/mods isn't something that comes over night. You'll have to post for a while before you can push a link in your comments, but it's worth it Are automated backlinks softwares still very effective

Even before Google stopped pagerank, when i use my scrapebox to get some website links to create my backlinks, majority of the website links are still being ranked page rank 0. but based on what razzy has said, i strongly suspect it is because of the high restriction/moderation of blog comments of most websites of high page-rank. i say this because i has created links manually on forums as posts and signatures and 95% do undergo moderation before they are finally approved by the webmaster

Yeah I would refrain from using software for building links.I only buy services here and I don't want my website links being built with software, I would only want natural and really good links being built.

I agree with what Razzy and Mike have said here, building up a reputation on blogs and then posting relevant is a much better idea. I am sure this takes a load of work, and I for one will pay much more for these types of links to be built for me.

I don't care how cheap other links are, I don't want them because I can't see that they will add any type of value for me or my business.

I have come across so many issues with backlinks like low quality backlinks can only harm your site and that even just one high quality backlink will be enough to tide over your site with search engines. With automated backlinks it seems like search engines are not comfortable with that. What if they find the excessive backlinks that were automatically created? A sanction may ensue.
