Bot traffic is inorganic traffic which will do absolutely nothing in terms of website engagement or sales of products. To have a successful business website that promotes or advertises products, or a personal website or blog you will need organic traffic or paid traffic.

Organic Traffic VS Paid Traffic
Organic traffic is traffic via a search engine that doesn't utilize paid search traffic. It is from relevance of search terms that are prioritize by the search engine's ranking algorithm.

Paid Traffic is where a website owner will pay advertising agencies or search engines to list their website for specific keywords on specific pages of search engines. Paid traffic doesn't necessarily reflect in the SEO ranking positively as organic traffic.

Bot Traffic

Bot traffic is either free, or purchasable. Bot traffic sends fake inorganic, non-paid (unless you bought bot traffic), non-engaging bots to view your website. If you just want to up the amount of hits to your website than bot traffic would be ideal. Now here's the downfall of bot traffic: if you utilize Google Adsense and have advertisements on your website and buy fake inorganic traffic than an advertising company may be able to detect this fake traffic and revoke your publisher status with them.

It is best to have organic traffic no matter what the website is about as it would give the website more value, and you can place advertisements on the website, make money and profit from the website. No matter how many bot views you have, just one organic view is much better than one million bots views.

From what I understand, bot traffic are codes that create a semblance of visitor to your website. The entry of bots is also counted as hits though. However, if your site is monetized, it can be suspended if bots are prevalent because they are considered fake traffic. And since you yourself can employ bots for traffic then your monetization may suffer. But to be honest, I wonder how they would know that it is a bot that’s creating the traffic count?
