What exactly does this new feature ''Custom Affiliate Commission'' means?

Please , as regards the diagram below, it is a new feature that is added in the settings when you are creating a gig service. what exactly does it means,
.As it is non-activated, does it mean that No affiliate cash can be made from that gig service involved by any seller? that is exactly what my mind is telling me but i am not very sure.
Or is it related to something different from what i am thinking?

yep,.i fully understand but there is a big problem here. I have created 2 new services today and i noticed that the custom affiliate button is set to OFF by default, what it means is that any new gig created will not on the affiliate region in that no affiliate sales can be made from it unless the seller activates the affiliate button and i bet you that most new sellers creating gigs will just ignore it or not even be aware of it, thus leaving it inactivated. That button should have being set ON or activated by default.
What this means is that; FROM NOW HENCEFORTH, NEW CREATED GIGS CANNOT MADE ANY AFFILIATE SALES FOR ANY SELLER UNLESS IT IS ACTIVATED.
The Button MUST be set to ON or be ACTIVATED by Default.

I think you misunderstand that Chetaseo. If that button is list as off then the standard affiliate commission paid to anyone that promotes your services and makes sales will make is 10%. This is set by SeoClerks. But you can choose to let your affiliates earn more on your services. So instead of them earning 10% you can change that to more, but then the difference of that amount will be paid to your affiliate and not to you!

But this is a great way to get more sales, by letting the affiliate marketers know that they will earn a much higher commission promoting your services than anyone else's so you will make more sales. Like Mike said you would have to let people know in the service description somewhere.

OK,. if it is the way it is, then i now understand. but concerning the issue of letting others; most especially sellers know that you are giving out more commission for your gig services, how are you going to notify all of them because it is somehow impossible for them to go through every gig to see what one is offering a higher affiliate commission. there must be a way to inform sellers; maybe through mass inbox messaging or the like. If not, there will be no way that a seller will know that another seller is offering a higher affiliate commission for his gig.

Lynne is right. Either you have it ON or OFF, every service would earn affiliate 10% and switching it ON + adding more value to that is offering more earnings to your affiliates. You can't offer less then 10% in any case. So if you not offering more then that, then just leave it and don't worry ;)

For me as an affiliate marketer I would love a way to search through services to find the ones that will pay me the most commission.... duh, like of course I would right?

So although the fact we can make more commission is cool but how on earth are affiliate marketers supposed to find it unless we literally browse each and every service description with a fine tooth comb trying to find great services with the best affiliate structure commission.

I personally don't have the time or the energy for that... perhaps this is a feature that should be suggested to SeoClerks? I will post a question about this.

Exactly .....that is what i am talking about. we need to find a way to how the seocerks can be notified if there is any gig services that is offering a higher affiliate commission.

It would be better if API for affiliate store can pull this out and show services based on custom commission fixed by the seller.
