Facebook,Microsoft,IBM ,Amazon and Google Team Up on AI

We all know what AI(Artificial Intelligence) is , well at least we have heard about it, specially these days when technology has evolved with some quite big steps . Also you may have read articles on the internet, or you’ve seen news on TV that the most of giant tech companies are investing a lot of money to expand their research into artificial intelligence.

Actually I think that AI it’s on its time, I say that because it’s not something that sounds impossible, it’s simply a computer but a bit more smart than actual computers.

Now as the title says, apparently ..Google,Facebook,Deepmind,Amazon, IBM and Microsoft are partners on AI, I know you read 6 but Deepmind is the subsidiary of Google.

They are really giant companies, and I was wondering what’s the point on this, I mean are they going to built something extraordinary from this partnership. However, according to the official website, their mission is to benefit people and society.

Oh Wow, well I think artificial intelligence is well on its way to being mind blowing and I am not at all surprised that the big wigs in the online and tech world are teaming up to evolve AI. They might be putting in massive amounts of funding into AI projects but really what will they be earning when they come out with all these new products and things that can change the world.

Quite frankly it would be stupid of them not to invest in AI.

What kind of AI? A sort of computer program that can make our lives easier because it understand and knows how to solve problems on its own or some kind of artificial brain with the end goal of creating a sentient life form?

Because this two are different things, don't know which one can eventually take over the world but though. I'm glad everyone is converging in creating AI and I'm really interested to see what they're going to develop in about ten years from now.

I hope this news is true and is already in progress. This is actually good for a science fiction scenario that will be a reality when the research and development team of that group starts to flex its brain muscles. Money can move mountains and I believe that those giant internet corporations have the money to spend that they will come up with a good result that will benefit mankind.
