Update on the SEO progress of my mommy blog site

So here's what is happening! I posted ages ago that I was struggling with my mommy blog website. I had numerous problems because I had an online baby store and I decided to just blog... so I had links that I had to remove (like all my products), my theme was optimized for Woocommerce and I had no store anymore, my website was SLOW, I had loads of plugins I didn't need.....

About 2 weeks I had Anwebservices sort out all these issues for me and I only kick myself for waiting..

Ok I have told you all this a few times before so sorry to repeat myself, it is just in case anyone new is reading.

Since then I have been adding fresh content every day during the week. I have been creating a few back links through blog comments and I have been marketing my content on social media.

I am finally seeing some organic visitors again, they are increasing a little each day. Plus my bounce rate is going down slowly.

And now today my Adsense earnings are R48.25 ($3.54) for the day.., ok not exactly raking in the millions but it is residual income which is awesome. The big point here is that about a month ago my daily earnings was around R1.00 ($0.07).

This is means I am earning around 50x more than I was. If I keep adding new content daily and working on my website I am very excited to see what I can earn just in Adsense.

Of course I have other income sources and those are also increasing all the time.

Just a bit of motivation and happiness to share with others.

Wow, that's a nice boost. That's all about, fresh content and good on page SEO. That's the key to success, as the marketers will say. Now you saw first handed that by adding content to your website you get more exposure, better rankings and a whole new bunch of visitors which from what you told us, they even generated revenue.

Yes that's right RaduV. I had lots of content ideas ready but I was kinda stuck because I didn't want to add content when it was so slow... I am so pleased that I did the right thing holding back until everything was sorted out.

I love it when a plan comes together!

Don't we all? Indeed, sometimes the websites can be really slow but if you do the on page seo properly it ca n be revived. Needless to say, that in the future you have to take care of it constantly.

Yes of course. The problem is that I just got so stuck since that website was built for me and I didn't know what I could touch and what I should leave. I didn't know what half the plugins were for and then when it comes to changing themes I don't know what to choose!

Anwebservices did the theme change for me and he checked all the plugins were fast and compatible. What a pleasure!

Now I can continue now that everything is so simple.

Abid, it is getting better and better, I have already made over R40 today on Adsense and it is only 9h23am!

Happy doesn't even come close to sharing how pleased I am.

I work my ass off and it has been tiring and sometimes disheartening waiting for my efforts to pay off and now I can see it.

Oh I am willing to do all "the stuff" to get there. I love it all though, it is great fun and I love the journey and the learning.

Very awesome Lynne! Try to push that $3.54 to at least $100 per day in adsense earnings. I never reached the $100 mark per day, but only up towards about $50.

Then of course Google terminated my adsense account for fraudulent click activity, which there was none, or at least none that was doing and i bet they couldn't prove it either but still terminated the adsense account. Probably a competitor clickbombing my advertisements to put the website out of business as it were. However this was years ago, and I don't operate those kind of websites anymore (hot/popular/celeb gossip news website).

Anyways, I wish you best of luck with the site, and the earnings. Don't forget about us little ones when you're a millionaire mommy blogger!

Here is a tip for you: look at your old content and think of ways in revitalizing it! Choose content that doesn't bring organic traffic as once did and add additional content and improve the previous things you've wrote (there is always something to improve), maybe add a new photo and a few new paragraphs.

After all, this, remember to change the publish date and update it with the current date (this is very important).
Also, for small content that doesn't bring organic traffic anymore, try merging it with similar topics by creating a new big article, 301 everything to the new page and DONE - enjoy your organic boost you'll get in a few weeks.

Oh, and keep up the good work, I love the fact that you're making progress in SEO.

This is really encouraging! As a stay at home mom, I always want to find ways to bring in some income to support my family while I can continue to take care of my kids at home. Blogging is one of the ways I am interested in trying out, but I haven't gain any success on that or I haven't put much effort in it too.

Your success story is really inspiring. Moreover, I learned something from your story that sometimes we do need to seek for help, instead of doing everything on our own, as I don't know much about SEO stuff. This is good news particularly the bounce rate because the fact that it is getting slower means your contents are being devoured in full by most of your visitors. With the mention of your daily earnings from Adsense, I am really encouraged to have my own blog because even if some will say that $3 per day of earnings is small, I’d say that is good money here especially if you will consider blog earnings as passive income. It is like getting a bonanza at the end of the month.
