Africa will lead the way with Bitcoin mobile payments.

Bitcoin will grow in many third world countries and Africa will be one of the leading countries. The reason i believe this is because of mobile payments. Many carriers outside of the USA accept Bitcoin as a form of payment already. Also Africa has something called "Mobile Money" but this type of currency is not available all over the world. Bitcoin can be used as a form of mobile money and can be kept on your phone or mobile device. Bitcoin is already starting to take over the mobile money movement in Africa. I Know this because one of the largest mobile cash companies called MTN is giving up and abandoning its efforts in south Africa. Bitcoin is easier and cheaper to adopt to an existing company or even to start a new one. We have to remember we have only 21 million Bitcoin in existents. The more people who use and hold Bitcoin the more the price will go up.

Oh my word. I am in Africa - South Africa to be specific and I have never made use of mobile money before. Are you talking about sending money to someone's mobile? I have had some people want to pay me that way but then I have to go to the automatic teller machine to withdraw apparently and this is just so inconvenient for me since I have always used online baking. I barely go into the bank and I very rarely carry cash.

I had no idea that Bitcoin was like mobile money.

Well its sort of like it in the sense that you can send it from mobile device to mobile device. Mobile money is only available in Africa if im not mistaken and can only be used in Africa. Bitcoin takes the mobile money thing to an entire new level because now people in Africa who use mobile can participate in the worlds currency trade. The big reason why this is becoming popular is because people have to do very little to transfer from using mobile cash to Bitcoin. I do not recommend carrying cash anymore anywhere. Things have gotten far to bad to risk being killed or robbed.

Pardon me for this comment but I think there is just a hype for the Bitcoin with the kind of news that I read in social media. But I haven’t read about Bitcoins in the traditional media particularly in the major newspapers. I believe that proponents of the Bitcoin are trying to create a bandwagon effect for the users of the Bitcoin to increase and to dominate the commerce. But fortunately they still fail in their attempt.
