Snap It - a very interesting app that could help in weight loss

Since it is a common trend for many to snap photos of what they are going to eat, I guess this app may sound interesting to some. Basically this app, Snap It has been developed by Lose It which is a health and weight loss platform. This app is in its beta version and basically it will help users by giving nutritional information, particularly on the calorie intake one will get from a meal or snack that he snaps a photo of. What do you think about this? Would you use it? I think it could be fun while serving as a good guideline for weight management.

This is a cool concept and this is certainly something i would use. It would be cool if i could enter in a food or ingredients and it would tell me all the nutritional information i needed to know. I am a Iphone user and im going to check the store for this app rite away. I love hoe people are starting to create things that will actually help us live longer. So many juice stands popping up where they offer veggie shakes and things like that. I find it very awesome and i hope that this trend continues for the next generations. America is the most obese country in the world! This new app is needed by all Americans and the Mcdonalds diet needs to go away. I hope that this app continues to change the way we look at nutrition bravo to them for trying to change the world. Thank you for sharing this im going to download this app now.

It would certainly help with mindful eating which I believe is really important if you want to lose weight.

I can totally see why some people would use an app like that, but I would never use it myself. I've never liked the thought of sharing boring photos of my breakfast, dinner or anything else related to training or exercise. I think it's dull and boring. I probably take 1 or perhaps 2 photos of a meal, per year. And that's from some sort of a special occasion. I'm not "that" guy, so I wouldn't take photos of my meals in some weird way to lose weight.

Like you I am not in the habit of shooting photos of my meals. I find it rather silly to be honest. However I am not much of a cook and not that fanatic about what I eat. As long as I feel full and manage to cook and clean up something as quickly as possible it works for me. However, I think this app would be useful for those who want some creative motivation to reduce their caloric intake.

nutritional information - sound great! I'll install it and check it out. I don't have a weight problem yet but I do get fatter each month, I always was very skinny and had no problem eating unhealthy, I really didn't care.

But I guess the monotony of standing at a desk all day, including weekends plus getting older and changing my metabolism has really made me reflect on what I'm eating and at what hours. So this app can definitely help me since I don't know much about healthy food since I didn't quite take such factors into account before.

Yes unfortunately like you I do not get to exercise much, and lately I have got fatter than I ever was. I try to keep an eye on what I eat but generally I end up being too busy to bother much about what to cook and eat. I guess this app would help a bit. There is surely nothing wrong to try it out and it could turn out to be rather fun too.

There are too many apps in the internet and I see it as a positive indication of progress particularly regarding health. However, this particularly app that is about the diet is not comfortable for me. I don’t want my lifestyle to be controlled by an app. And although I am overweight or even nearing the obesity level, I still want to enjoy life and especially the food that I eat. I cannot imagine to be restricted by an app in what I eat just because I am on a diet. Being excessively health conscious is not good.
